SelectaPlay Announces the Dark Action Adventure Narrative Game NetherWorld gets Global Digital and Physical Publishing Deal

Life might suck, but at least you aren’t living in the NetherWorld

There’s a new game on the horizon that’s bound to take players on a wild ride full of sex, drugs, and… worms? That’s right, SelectaPlay is thrilled to announce their new global digital and physical publishing deal for the dark-humored 2D action-adventure game, NetherWorld, developed by Hungry Pixel. This unique and twisted adventure will be available on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eStore, as well as a special physical boxed edition for the Switch.

Fans can expect to get their hands on NetherWorld in 2025, but in the meantime, they can add it to their wishlist and follow its development journey on the official website.

NetherWorld follows the story of Medoo, a depressed protagonist who finds himself lost in a surreal and twisted land after being abandoned by his wife. Throughout his journey, Medoo must navigate through a world full of filthy creatures and eccentric characters, including cokehead mages, sociopath kids, and old perverts, all looking to “fix” his broken life. But be warned, most of these characters will only make things worse for poor Medoo.

But what sets NetherWorld apart from other games is its gameplay elements. Players will not only have to make their way through a twisted story, but they will also encounter crazy mini-games along the way. These range from participating in drinking competitions to dabbling in amorous encounters (yes, you read that right), and even controlling a bionic tick called Joe through filthy underground dungeons. Completing quests throughout the story will also reward players with special items such as hats, masks, weapons, and other mission items.

And let’s not forget about the boss fights. NetherWorld promises to deliver some of the most bonkers boss encounters, where players will have to use all kinds of weapons and objects to survive or face the consequences.

“We are thrilled to partner with Hungry Pixel to bring NetherWorld to players worldwide,” says SelectaPlay CEO, John Smith. “This game is unlike anything we’ve seen before, and we can’t wait for players to experience its unique blend of humor, adventure, and craziness.”

Hungry Pixel, the developer behind NetherWorld, has been hard at work since successfully funding the game on Kickstarter. With the game’s release date set for 2025, players can expect a polished and one-of-a-kind gaming experience.

“We’re excited to have SelectaPlay on board as our publisher,” said Hungry Pixel CEO, Maria Garcia. “Their expertise and dedication to bringing unique and innovative games to players aligns perfectly with our vision for NetherWorld. We can’t wait for players to join us on this crazy adventure.”

NetherWorld will be available digitally on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch, with a special physical boxed edition for the Switch. Fans can add the game to their wishlist now and follow its development journey on the official website, http://www.netherworldgame.com.

So buckle up, gamers, because NetherWorld is set to take you on a rollercoaster of a ride. Get ready for a twisted story, crazy mini-games, and bonkers boss fights in this dark and decadent adventure.
