The first playable Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered demo will be available to PAX East attendees at the NetEase Games booth

NetEase Games recently announced the exciting news that Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered, the remastered version of Shadows of the Damned, the popular 2011 action-adventure title developed by acclaimed game designer Goichi “Suda51” Suda-led Grasshopper Manufacture, will soon be released for PlayStation4/5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam, and Switch as Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered.

Fans of the original title can look forward to an enhanced and updated version of the game, featuring improved graphics, smoother performance, and support for current-generation consoles. The game’s official website and store pages for each respective platform are now open, with wishlist registration available for eager players.

But before its official release, Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered will be making an appearance at PAX East 2024, one of the largest gaming events in North America. Attendees will be able to get a taste of the remastered version with a playable demo, giving them a chance to experience the revamped gameplay firsthand. A special video featuring Grasshopper Manufacture and Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered at PAX East will also be released on the Grasshopper Archives YouTube channel at a later date.

For those unfamiliar with the game, Shadows of the Damned is an action-packed journey through a unique and eccentric world that combines elements of Hell and rock & roll. Players take on the role of demon hunter Garcia Hotspur, who is on a mission to rescue his beloved Paula from the clutches of the demon king, Fleming. Along the way, he is joined by his trusty sidekick Johnson, a talking skull, and the two embark on a wild and crazy adventure filled with demons, weapons, and plenty of rock music.

Described as a “love-hate road movie,” the game’s main characters add a touch of humor and absurdity to the intense and dark atmosphere of Hell. Garcia and Johnson’s banter, as well as their unique abilities, add an extra layer of entertainment to the already action-packed gameplay.

Speaking of gameplay, Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered offers a fun and challenging experience, with players utilizing the powers of light and dark to battle their way through the depths of Hell. In the darkness, demons are stronger and harder to defeat, while in the light, they weaken and become vulnerable. This adds a strategic element to the game, as players must use their wits and quick reflexes to navigate through the various levels and overcome the demon hordes.

With improved graphics and smoother performance, Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered promises to be an even more immersive and thrilling experience than its predecessor. So mark your calendars and get ready to enter the world of Hell and rock & roll once again when the game is released on PS4/5, Xbox Series X|S & Xbox One, Steam, and Switch.

And don’t forget to keep an eye out for the special video featuring GhM and SotD:HR at PAX East on the Grasshopper Archives YouTube channel.

Get ready to rock on in the underworld with Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered.
