On Tuesday, Nov. 28th, co-op farming & life simulation game Roots of Pacha will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 & 5 and Steam for PC and Mac. With the console versions comes version 1.1 along with feature parity and cross-platform multiplayer with the Steam version.
Roots of Pacha is a nonviolent Stone Age experience already enjoyed by over 100,000 players. Players take on the role of a member of the Pacha clan and must navigate the Rite of Passage into adulthood. Throughout their journey, they must gather resources and discover inventions in order to create a thriving civilization.
In order to progress, players must construct various devices with their tools, such as communal composters, picklers and cheesecloths. They can also create tools such as blade shears, flutes and milkers, fish for food, domesticate wild animals, and research vegetation in order to best utilize each plant’s properties. These activities will help to steer the Pacha clan towards monumental ideas and create a lasting legacy.
Players can explore the depths of the caves and expansive land to find new resources with up to four Pachans playing together. There are wild forests, puzzling caves, hot savannas and beaches which offer unique resources. All of the players’ efforts will be backed by a guided RPG-esque story with world cutscenes and single-player scenes that all affect the game world.

Roots of Pacha arrives on Tuesday, November 28th with version 1.1, available on Steam and Nintendo Switch for $24.99/ €22.99/ £19.99 with support for English, French, German, Portuguese – Brazil, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, and Japanese languages. An Xbox One and Series X|S version is planned for a later date.
Players can expect to experience romance options with Voda, receive smoke signal gifts and letters, watch new cutscenes, and more along with a number of quality-of-life improvements. Soda Den has further updates in the works for 2024 and beyond with the intent to maintain feature parity between the console and PC versions.
