Today, SelectaPlay is thrilled to announce a publishing deal with developer Disaster Games for Morkull Ragast’s Rage, as one of the many games they’ll be showcasing at the Indie Dev Day from 8th – 10th September in Barcelona, Spain.
With the fast-paced, dynamic action gamers have come to expect from 2D platformers, Morkull Ragast’s Rage introduces new fourth wall breaking gameplay mechanics that add a unique spin on the genre. Players will control Morkull, the Lord of the Ragast, who understands he is a character in a video game and how his actions are being controlled by the player. The game looks to delight with humor and pop culture references, while still maintaining a sense of immersion and atmosphere.
Morkull’s Rage, as the title implies, is big on combat. Players will have access to a variety of combo attacks and special abilities to make their way through the depths of the Ragast. The game’s bright and detailed art style, featuring hand-drawn and animated frame-by-frame work, helps to offset the darkness and create an atmosphere of adventure.
With the player in control of one of the bad guys, and a unique visual style and blend of mechanics, Morkull Ragast’s Rage flips our view of storytelling in games.
