Nintendo has just released a brand-new Super Mario Bros. Wonder Direct video showcasing the upcoming Nintendo Switch game’s rollicking new gameplay, power-ups, and transformative Wonder effects. Nintendo Switch aficionados can enjoy this iconic Mario Red color scheme on the system, its two Joy-Con controllers and visible on the back of the dock. When starting their adventure, players are invited by benevolent Prince Florian to the Flower Kingdom – just beyond the Mushroom Kingdom. But, Bowser – the King of the Koopas – has other plans and uses the mysterious Wonder Flower to merge with the castle, begin spreading chaos and set the scene for Mario to save the day.

Mario and his colorful cast of friends are playable characters in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, each with a unique set of moves – like Yoshi and Nabbit who take no damage from enemies. Plus, new power-ups like the Elephant Fruit and Drill form allow for transformation and different ways to interact with the game. Enemies like the Hoppycats, Melon Piranha Plants, Condarts and Maw-Maws also stand in your way, daring to be conquered.

Badges are also included in the game, with special abilities like the Wall-Climb Jump, Dolphin Kick and Crouching High Jump to enhance the fun. Local and online multiplayer is not to be missed too. Local play allows up to four people to join at once and can be assisted by player shadows online. Nintendo Switch Online members are also eligible to purchase game vouchers for Super Mario Bros.
