Moonrise Fall, an atmospheric exploration puzzle game, has been set to release on July 29th, 2023. Players will take on the role of a boy who finds himself lost in a supernatural forest after his parents are tragically killed in a car crash.
Armed with a clue-filled journal, a camera, and a lantern, players will unravel the mysteries of the forest and photograph the strange creatures that reside there.
The game offers a unique blend of detective work and puzzle-solving, as well as exploration and collecting. Moonrise Fall players will explore a surreal and handcrafted world, including caves, mines, a lumber mill, and otherworldly locales. They’ll also investigate secrets, play an in-game instrument, and discover multiple Easter eggs.
The game will feature an original score, a music system that generates different layers of music and mixes to ensure no two playthroughs are the same, and a night and day cycle which changes between 5 times of day on its own or at the player’s control.
Moonrise Fall will offer an understated experience about loss and finding new life, inspired by real-life experiences. Players will have to put their detective and puzzle-solving skills to the test and take on the challenge of discovering why the boy has been trapped in this strange place and by whom.
