Olympiodora, Molly’s mother and a vase painter, stands out with a big sunhat that could potentially become a platform to stand on if it were turned to stone. Menelaos, Molly’s younger brother, is the son of a traveler. Pygmalion, Molly’s art teacher, is a bitter old man, and his relationship with Molly is strained and filled with frustration.
Graeca has a huge collection of swords and blades from around the world, which raises the question of where she traveled in her youth. Adeimantus is a self-centered bully, but he is the only person in the village of Molly’s age. The guards of the village, Hipparchia and Laërtes, stand out. Hipparchia is friends with Molly’s mother and Laërtes suffers from terrible hiccups. Lastly, Phoebes is shy and quiet child who secretly carries romance and poetry in their gentle heart, and Daphne is an adventurous young girl who frequently explores the surrounding forests.
