Indie publisher Chorus Worldwide and developer MidBoss LLC have teamed up to bring you the highly anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed game, 2064: Read Only Memories. The new game, appropriately titled Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER, is set to release on May 16, 2024, for PC via Steam, PlayStation®5, Xbox One (S/X Compatible), and Nintendo Switch™.
But that’s not all – fans of physical editions can rejoice, as Serenity Forge has partnered with Chorus Worldwide to produce two physical versions of the game for PlayStation®5 and Nintendo Switch™. Pre-orders for both the Collector’s and Standard editions are available starting today.
Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER takes players back to the vibrant streets of Neo-San Francisco, but with a retro twist. The game is designed to look and feel like a 16-bit adventure, giving players an immersive and nostalgic experience. The game follows ES88, a young esper, as she works to uncover a dark secret hiding in Neo-San Francisco. Employed by MINERVA, a powerful organization specializing in information science and extrasensory phenomena, ES88 is tasked with finding the mysterious psychic entity known as Golden Butterfly. This elusive being has been fragmenting the memories of the city’s citizens, but the reason behind their actions remains a mystery.
Shintaro Kanaoya, CEO of Chorus Worldwide, expressed his excitement for the release of Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER, stating, “No, this is not one of Golden Butterfly’s tricks, but the final, final (we promise) release date for the long-awaited sequel.” Kanaoya explained that the team wanted to take the necessary time to craft an unforgettable experience for fans, and with the help of MidBoss, they have done just that.
The game will be available for $14.99 / €14.79 / £12.79 and will be released for PC via Steam and Epic Games, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch™ on May 16.
But, for those who prefer a physical copy, Serenity Forge is creating two special editions of Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER – the standard and collector’s edition. The standard edition includes a physical copy of the game, an illustrated inner cover sheet, soundtrack download card, and instruction manual.
