Historically-inspired strategy game Broadsword: Warlord Edition coming to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC
GS2 Games announced the highly anticipated launch of Broadsword: Warlord Edition on May 7, 2024. Developed by Hoplite Research Games, this turn-based tactical strategy game allows players to battle it out as one of five distinct Middle Ages armies, including the English, French, Spanish, Poles, and Hapsburgs.
Broadsword: Warlord Edition has captivated the hearts and minds of many players, as it recreates historical conflicts set in Medieval Europe, featuring legendary figures such as Henry III and Joan of Arc. Players command a vast arsenal of units on the battlefield, including archers, winged hussars, knights, longbowmen, pikemen, and catapults, with special units dependent on your nationality.
Additionally, the environment of the game provides varying weather conditions which can be utilized for beneficial strategic advantages. Buildings like town centers, mines, mills, and farms can also be utilized to raise units and create resources for your empire. The game also features researchable technologies like forestry, ballistics, and husbandry.

Broadsword: Warlords Edition is available now on Steam, and it also offers five single-player campaigns, Champion Mode for custom-made matches, and multiple language options including English, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
