The latest console installment in the DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS series, DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Dark Prince, is now available for digital pre-orders and pre-purchase exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.

Developed and published by Square Enix, this exciting RPG adventure gives DRAGON QUEST fans the opportunity to wield the power of Monsterkind by constructing a team of monsters to battle on their behalf. Along with the game, players who pre-order or pre-purchase will receive the Head Start Set which includes exclusive items.

In DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Dark Prince, players will follow the epic story of the dark prince Psaro and his journey to becoming the Master of Monsterkind. With over 500 capturable monsters available, players must construct a team of up to eight monsters, with up to four monsters in the main party and four more in reserve. Core battle gameplay features allow players to precisely issue orders to each individual monster or set general tactics. By beating their enemies, players have the chance to recruit new monsters or improve the skills of existing monsters. Additionally, characters can be synthesized to form new creatures, each with their own innate talent and inherited skills from their parents.

To test their monster wrangling skills, players will also be able to enter the Endor Colosseum and the Maulosseum of two in-game worlds. These battle arenas will be filled with characters from DRAGON QUEST XI and new creatures such as the Greater Platypunk and Gander. As players progress, they may also take part in the various rewards and advanced battles to unlock new monster talens, spells, attributes and more.

DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Dark Prince is set to launch worldwide on December 1, 2023. Fans and newcomers of the series can pre-order or pre-purchase the game today in the Square Enix official store and at retail. Don’t forget to take advantage of the Head Start Set to give you a leg up on the monster wrangling action!
