Fans of classic cartoons are in for a special treat with the release of the first-person roguelike action game MythForce by Beamdog and publisher Aspyr! Set to launch on Sept. 12, 2023, for multiple platforms including PlayStation5, PlayStation4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, the game will also exit its Early Access on the Epic Games Store on this day.
To give players a glimpse of the world inspired by the 80s animation era, Beamdog has released a new release date trailer with footage from an in-game cinematic video and new gameplay. MythForce is a roguelike adventure set in the ever-changing Cursed Lands, offering players the chance to team up with up to four friends and engage in intense first-person combat in an immersive fantasy dungeon crawl.
Players will be able to take advantage of a range of exciting features in this bold adventure such as colorful visuals inspired by the 80s animation era, first-person combat with impressive swords and sorcery, and an abundance of magical upgrades and artifacts hidden in the dungeons.
In addition, gamers can join forces with friends online and tackle the Cursed Lands in co-op mode. With the official 1.0 launch, the game will also feature three story episodes, unlockable difficulty modes, and a meta-progression system with drop-in/drop-out functionality.
