Microids fans around the world can now get ready to board the Orient Express as Publisher Microids announced that the classic Agatha Christie novel based, Agatha Christie – Murder on the Orient Express, will be available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC on October 19th, 2023.
The Deluxe Edition will include the video game, an artbook, a digital original soundtrack and an Orient Express ticket bookmark.
The game was developed by Microids Studio Lyon and features artistic direction by renowned French artist, Cédric Peyravernay, who has previously showcased his talent in projects like Diablo IV, Prey, Dishonored 2, Dishonored and two episodes of the Netflix series Love, Death + Robots. The Deluxe Edition will also include a 48-page artbook of Peyravernay’s character designs.
Set in 2023, Agatha Christie – Murder on the Orient Express stays true to the original novel and its iconic characters, however it has added some elements to surprise fans of the ‘Queen of Crime’. New characters have been introduced, such as Joanna Locke who can take players out of the train environment, and puzzles and object manipulations have been scattered throughout the chapters.
As players assume the roles of Poirot and Locke, it will be up to them to inspect the sets and talk to the suspects to uncover the truth behind the murder.
The game has been fully voice-over in English, German and French and is sure to provide hours of thrilling entertainment to everyone from murder mystery and adventure aficionados, to Agatha Christie fans.
