Indie publisher Ratalaika Games and Blackwing Gaming have announced the forthcoming release of Kuroi Tsubasa, a colourful and polished graphic novel set for release on 2nd June 2023.
Developed by a community of gamers passionate about graphic novels and featuring a huge cast of characters with various issues, Kuroi Tsubasa is a compelling story that looks to tackle topics such as bullying, poverty and the crushing weight of high expectations.
Players of Kuroi Tsubasa will follow the story of Blackwing, a literal devil who escaped from hell, and Kureha, an office worker with low self-confidence who Blackwing grants the power to transform into a magical girl. Together they will battle against the “shadow” which possesses people with emotional problems by promising to fulfil their wishes.
The game features no romance, instead focusing on the power of friendship and love.
Kuroi Tsubasa is a game about friendship and the power of love. With no romantic relationships, this is a story of a cute, but powerful bond between Kureha and Blackwing, friendship and understanding. It shows that even in the most dire of situations, love will always prevail.
The game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Microsoft Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch, and boasts over 120,000 words for around 10 hours of playtime. There are also over 50 songs, two music videos, and over 50 CGs, as well as a completely new bonus chapter after the game exclusive to the console release.
