Assess the Battlefield and Strike the Citadel with an Array of Weapons and Strategies!
Today, KOEI TECMO America and developer Kou Shibusawa unveiled the latest details on their upcoming historical simulation NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening.
The 16th installment in the franchise, NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening, is set in 16th century Japan during the Warring States period, and allows players to take on the role of a daimyo and battle for control of the country.
Players will need to carefully consider the route their troops take, as certain paths may be beset with obstacles or even enemy forces. In addition, large-scale battles can be launched to settle any small conflicts in the area.
A major part of the game is the ability to master the military art of siege, where players will attack and defend a variety of castles.
These sieges will impact the surrounding domains and landholders, truly testing the player’s ability as a military leader and political negotiator.
The game will feature a variety of historic sites and terrain such as Nagashima, Kasugayama, Tsukui and Kameyama. To achieve victory, players will need to consider how to attack or defend based on each castle’s terrain.
NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening will be available digitally in North America on July 20, 2023 and is currently in development for PlayStation®4, Nintendo Switch, and PC Windows via Steam®. For more information, visit the official site.
