Today, rokaplay and FIRECHICK have revealed that the upcoming 16-bit top-down level editing sandbox Super Dungeon Maker is coming to Nintendo Switch and Steam on May 3rd for $19.99 / €19.99.

Inspired by The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Super Mario Maker, Super Dungeon Maker allows players to create their own pixel art-style dungeons of varying themes and difficulties in minutes, using either a mouse & keyboard or Joy-cons.

The dungeon creation tool is both easy to use and extensive, with players able to choose how many levels, items, enemies, traps, switches, and hidden objects they want. Once a dungeon is created, players can even share their levels with friends and family using cross-platform level sharing.

Super Dungeon Maker has been on Steam Early Access since February 2022 and has already amassed over 3,000 brilliant, varied stages from its passionate and talented community. Those looking for a little inspiration can also check out the built-in dungeons that come with the game.

The developers have also chosen to make the game’s dungeon editor free to all academic institutions, making Super Dungeon Maker an excellent educational tool.
