You’ll Never Be the Same After this My Dear Sherlock
Frogwares, a Ukrainian video game developer, today released the launch trailer for their upcoming title Sherlock Holmes The Awakened. Set to release on April 11, 2023, the game will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, XB1, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
The Sherlock Holmes The Awakened follows a young Sherlock Holmes and John Watson as they take on their first case together. The chilling mystery leads them to confront a secretive cult worshiping Cthulhu, H.P. Lovecraft’s mythical creature.
In this reimagining of the first case of the famous detective duo, players will experience the traumatic and sanity-breaking events that shaped Holmes and Watson into the characters we know today.
“I’m not sure if any one of us will ever release another game with so many memories and emotional baggage attached to it,” said Sergiy Oganesyan, Head of Publishing at Frogwares. “This game came about as a necessity to keep the studio alive during the war in Ukraine, but it also gave us all a very strong purpose and a much-needed distraction from everything going on around us. What is next is already in the works now that we have proven to ourselves, we can keep going, despite the war.”
Sherlock Holmes The Awakened promises to be an exciting and thrilling game with its creative reimagining of the first case of the iconic detective duo. Players can look forward to this new adventure when it releases on April 11.
