The Lord of the Rings: Gollum Slinks Out of the Shadows Soon

The story-driven adventure across Middle-earth arrives this May for PC and consoles— Sméagol will swear it on the Precious!

Today, Daedalic Entertainment and NACON announced that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, an action-adventure game based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s beloved trilogy, will be released on May 25th for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. A version for Nintendo Switch™ is planned for later this year.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum game stars Sméagol—better known as Gollum—as players embark on a perilous journey across Middle-earth in pursuit of the only thing that is precious to him. Players will have to climb, leap, and sneak their way past dangers in order to succeed, as Gollum is torn by a split personality.

In addition to the game’s launch, Daedalic and Nacon will be dropping a special showcase on Twitch at 5.30 GMT / 6.30pm CET today featuring fresh gameplay footage and insights from the developers.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is developed by a small team of passionate Tolkienites at Daedalic Entertainment in partnership with Middle-earth Enterprises. A physical edition for consoles will also be available.
