ASSAULT SUITS VALKEN DECLASSIFIED BRINGS CLASSIC MECHA ACTION ON MARCH 30th

Rainmaker Productions and M2 Bring Unedited and Uncensored Localization of Renowned Super Famicom (SNES) Title Assault Suits Valken Declassified to Western Audiences for the First Time

In a press release today, Rainmaker Productions and M2 announced the upcoming release of Assault Suits Valken Declassified for the Nintendo Switch.

To celebrate the announcement, Rainmaker Productions and M2 have released a trailer showcasing both the title’s iconically retro gameplay and brand-new content additions.

The game, a re-release of the 1992 Super Famicom/Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) classic, will feature an unedited and uncensored localization along with additional content such as a recreated and translated version of the original 80-page Japanese guidebook, artwork, and more.

The game’s storyline follows soldier Jake Brain on his mission to destroy the opposing government’s most powerful extraterrestrial weapon, Bildvorg. Players will pilot his classic mecha through a variety of 2D run-and-gun missions.

Joseph Chou, CEO at Rainmaker Productions, said, “While Assault Suits Valken was given a Western release back in the 90s as Cybernator, this version was heavily edited and censored, meaning English-speaking gamers have never been able to appreciate the game fully — until now.

Assault Suits Valken Declassified aims to correct that oversight by not only offering a faithful and uncompromised localization of the original game, but also new artwork from character designer Satoshi Urushihara and an exclusive interview with Satoshi Nakai, the previously unknown designer of game’s titular mecha.”

The Assault Suits Valken Declassified game will launch exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on March 30, 2023 for $24.99 USD.
