Kaizen Game Works Announce Promise Mascot Agency Coming in 2025

The developers of indie hit Paradise Killer return with the world’s first Open World Mascot Manager Crime Drama, Promise Mascot Agency, developed in collaboration with renowned Japanese developer Ikumi Nakamura

Kaizen Game Works, the award-winning independent game studio, is proud to announce their highly-anticipated second game: Promise Mascot Agency. This unique and innovative game combines the world of mascots with the thrilling elements of a crime drama set in the forgotten Japanese town of Kaso-Machi.

The story follows Michi, a disgraced yakuza lieutenant who is exiled to Kaso-Machi to turn a bankrupt mascot agency into a successful business. Along with his assistant, Pinky, who happens to be a mascot herself, Michi must navigate through the town’s mysteries and conspiracies to succeed in his mission.

Players will explore Kaso-Machi in Michi’s run-down truck, which can be upgraded as the game progresses. The town offers endless opportunities – find new friends, collectibles, and potential business partnerships. Most importantly, players will have to recruit a variety of unique and colorful mascots to join the Promise Mascot Agency.

In Promise Mascot Agency, mascots are depicted as living creatures with their own desires and dreams. Players must negotiate with them, offering everything from money to fame, to recruit them to their agency. Once on board, the mascots can be trained and sent out on various jobs to make money and gain experience. However, these jobs are not without danger, and it’s up to the players to use their strategic skills, represented by Hero Cards, to overcome challenges and ensure their mascot’s safety.

What sets Promise Mascot Agency apart is the collaboration with renowned Japanese developer Ikumi Nakamura and concept artist Mai Mattori. Their expertise and vision have helped Kaizen Game Works create a unique world filled with memorable characters, including a Yakuza family, repurposed love hotels, and a cast of bizarre and occasionally horrifying mascots.

To bring these characters to life, Kaizen Game Works worked with Inko Ai Takita, a Japanese manga artist based in the UK. Her signature manga style adds an extra layer of charm and eccentricity to the game’s visuals.

The game’s soundtrack is another highlight, with music from Irish musician Alpha Chrome Yayo and Japanese composer Ryo Koike. Alpha Chrome, known for his genre-twisting albums, adds his unique musical touch to the streets of Kaso-Machi. On the other hand, Ryo Koike, a veteran in the Japanese gaming industry, brings his expertise from working on games like Resident Evil 4 and Ninja Gaiden II to create an immersive and unforgettable soundtrack.

Kaizen Game Works is excited to bring Promise Mascot Agency to multiple platforms, including PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows in 2025. Fans of the open-world genre and crime drama can expect a one-of-a-kind gaming experience with Kaizen Game Works’ new release.

So, can Michi successfully turn the Promise Mascot Agency into the most successful mascot agency in Japan while uncovering the truth behind his exile? Will Pinky ever overcome her anger issues? And did that truck just grow wings? All these questions and more will be answered when Promise Mascot Agency hits the gaming world in 2025.
