On November 30th, 2023 fans of the metroidvania and bullet-hell genres are in for a treat. Neverland Entertainment and Acclaimed Rabi-Ribi studio CreSpirit have announced that their upcoming anime metroidvania bullet-hell game TEVI will launch on Steam and Switch, with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S versions coming shortly after.
Players can look forward to an exquisite pixel art world from CreSpirit, filled with captivating characters designed by Ein Lee, renowned character designer for the hit animated series RWBY and enriched by an exceptional soundtrack crafted by OPUS series composer Triodust and renowned composer 3R2. TEVI is a frenetic action game full of fast-paced movements which allow for chain Backflip Slashes, Air Dashes, and Dagger Throws into stun-locking Air Combos to break enemies and achieve higher combo scores.
Players also have the option of customizing their playstyle, as the game features a cornucopia of equipable sigils which can be freely configured to create builds tailored to the gamer’s preferences. Players can further adjust the dynamic difficulty system according to their progress, guaranteeing no enemy is too difficult to overcome, whilst still presenting a challenge.
Gema Yue, developer of fan-favorite Bunnyvania Rabi-Ribi has served as lead programmer on TEVI and has assembled an all-star voice actor cast to make the game’s narrative come to life. Voice actors include Lynn (Tevi), Yoko Hikasa (Celia), Natsumi Fujiwara (Sable), Tomokazu Sugita (Zema), and Rie Kugimiya (Vena).
A demo of TEVI is already available on Steam, for anyone who is looking to sample the frenetic action of the upcoming metroidvania before its full launch on November 30th across all platforms.
