Berzerk: Recharged

Atari Revitalizes a Crown Jewel of the ’80s Arcade Era with Berzerk: Recharged, Available Now

Escape a Futuristic Maze Filled with Ruthless Robots, all While the Sinister Smile of Evil Otto Portends Your Demise

Atari®, one of the most iconic consumer brands in interactive entertainment, is thrilled to announce the launch of Berzerk: Recharged, a daring reimagining of a beloved gaming classic from the ‘80s.

Players will take on waves of menacing vocal robots while avoiding Evil Otto, the bouncing smiley face terror, in this thrilling top-down multidirectional shooter. Now available on Windows PC, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, Berzerk: Recharged offers updated visuals, responsive twin-stick controls, and a pumping synth soundtrack paired with classic action, all while enduring trash-talk from your robotic enemies.

Start your engines and get ready for a classic adventure as Berzerk: Recharged takes gamers through an endless maze of randomly generated rooms that get more intense the further you get. Shoot through 20 hand-crafted mazes, each with their own unique layout, and take advantage of weapon and player modifiers, plus a spread-shot, big shot, and a series-staple railgun.

Add a trusty ally by recruiting a second player to boost firepower or track your progress on the public leaderboard!

You won’t want to miss this ‘80s classic releashed with modern flair. Developed by Sneakybox and published by Atari, Berzerk: Recharged is out now with Atari VCS coming later this year.
