Today, Publisher Serenity Forge and developer This I Dreamt have released the narrative-driven, anti-war RPG Long Gone Days. Players step into the role of Rourke, a child of The Core who chose from birth to be a sniper.

Trapped on the frontlines of a war that he’s been trained his entire life to be a part of, Rourke comes to the realization that the war is unjust. He is then met with the harsh reality of being called a deserter and realizing that he must do whatever he can to stop the war and the impending bloodshed.

Long Gone Days allows players to face various real-world complexities, while taking into account language barriers and interacting with a range of characters. Every decision has far-reaching consequences, as the choices that the player makes have the potential to shape the outcome of the story.

Additionally, it features turn-based combat, where players can aim for specific body parts of their enemies in order to avoid the use of more violence.

With a narrative-driven story and an immersive set of gameplay systems, Long Gone Days provides players with an intriguing look at the ongoing war and the challenges that come with preserving personal values in difficult situations. Now available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch for $24.99, Rourke’s story is one not to be missed.
