SteamWorld Build

SteamWorld Build Coming On December 1st

Anno meets Dungeon Keeper-style city builder for PC, Xbox, PlayStation, & Switch also offers 20% discount for PC bundle owners

Thunderful and The Station have announced a December 1st release date for their expected title, SteamWorld Build. The game will be available to play on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch right away. Players can test it out before then with a Steam demo that has been released in anticipation of the game.

Developed for both PC and console, SteamWorld Build promises to be a unique multi-level city-building experience that both amateurs and experts can enjoy. Players take on the role of an architect of a mining town with the ultimate goal being to unearth riches and help the steambot citizens to escape impending doom.

The game is designed to be as compelling with a controller in hand as it is with mouse and keyboard, making it simple for anyone to get the full SteamWorld experience regardless of the platform.

Many features such as mining below-ground elements and building above-ground houses feed into one another to create a rewarding game loop that keeps players engaged and making progress.

“We’re really excited to share more about the game between now and its release date,” said Brjánn Sigurgeirsson, SteamWorld Universe and Franchise Director. Producer Adam Vassee of The Station added, “Getting positive response from fans and press has been incredibly rewarding. We can’t wait until everyone can finally experience SteamWorld Build for themselves.”

The SteamWorld Build game can also be bought with a 20% discount if purchased alongside the SteamWorld Complete Bundle and will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass. Fans of the series or newcomers alike can look forward to enjoying the game on any of its various platforms on December 1st.
