Shuyan Saga is coming to PS4/PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on September 22, 2023!
ESDigital Games and Lofty Sky Entertainment are thrilled to announce a long-term publishing partnership, beginning with the console release of the stunning graphic novel adventure Shuyan Saga.
Set in an ancient Chinese martial arts fantasy universe, Shuyan Saga tells the tale of rebellious Princess Shuyan and her quest to become a true disciple of Kung Fu in order to save the Five Kingdoms from the evil Guer horde.
Players will explore a vivid world inspired by ancient Chinese history and mythology. Gamers will take on the starring role of Prostien Shuyan, voiced by Kristin Kreuk (Smallville, Beauty and the Beast). Fighting techniques and motions have been sourced by Master Longfei Yang’s motion-captured Kung-Fu techniques and are choreographed in over 300 combat animations. Shuyan Saga is then paired with over 1,400 stunning art panels by Chinese comic book master Daxiong, and an original soundtrack composed by award-winning composer Aaron Tsang.
The game has been re-imagined for the console release, featuring optimized combat controls and support for additional languages, including French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian, and Korean. Players will experience the story through a comic book-style narrative and make choices that shape the course of the tale with consequences felt throughout the tale.
Shuyan Saga brings more to the table than just the visuals and fighting. Players will not only get to enjoy the stunning artistry of the ancient Chinese universe but use their wisdom to shape the course of the game and make decisions that will impact the story.
