Project Downfall

Ferocious retro-style cyberpunk shooter – Project Downfall – will be released on Nintendo Switch consoles

RedDeer.Games, an independent game developer and publisher, are thrilled to announce that Project Downfall, created by MGP Studios and Solid9, is set to come to Nintendo Switch consoles later this year. This offers Nintendo Switch gamers the opportunity to experience an extreme vision of an alternate future with a mix of action, adventure, cyberpunk and neons.

Project Downfall is a semi-tactical combat shooter with a unique combat system and superpowers that lets players use reflexes, environmental awareness and quick thinking. With a retro-styled, savage visual, the game also has a non-linear plot with many additional events with up to 12 possible endings.

The setting of the game is in an alternate universe, where divisions have completely shifted between two mega-states. These are the EU/Transatlantic States and the Novorussian Federation, and between them is the first European “free” mega-city – Crimson Tide. The citizens of this city are kept in check with coercive medications and are unaware of this..

In the game, you play the main character – a privileged man and subordinate employee of one of the corporations in the city. As a self-proclaimed hero, your mission is to go out at night to cleanse the city of anything that threatens its peace. To complete this, you will have to use everything in your arsenal – superpowers, upgrades, medkits, weapons, stimulants and ultra-fast dexterity.

The release date of the Nintendo Switch version of Project Downfall is yet to be announced, and the game is currently available on Steam.
