Pixel-Art Platformer Anyaroth: The Queen’s Tyranny Confirmed for Nintendo Switch

Nintendo’s handheld joins the fight to free the Anya civilization

Indie publisher Firenut Games and developer Yggdraseed Studios have announced that their pixel-art platform adventure game Anyaroth: The Queen’s Tyranny will launch for Nintendo Switch in early Q1 2023.

The game is now available for preorder on the NA and EU Nintendo Stores, with a limited time 10% discount.

In Anyaroth: The Queen’s Tyranny, players must fight with the rebellion to free the Anya civilization from the Queen’s mind-control system. Across the surface, mantle, and core of the planet, players must battle through ruined cities, explosive spider nests, and more in order to reach the Regime’s capital city. Along the way, they can use a variety of weapons, objects, and abilities to take out their enemies.

The game features classic 2D action-platformer mechanics, with a modern twist, brought to life with beautiful pixel art visuals. Additionally, a free-aim system makes for intense fights, and players can find special helmets scattered throughout the levels to unlock the secrets that the planet hides.

Anyaroth: The Queen’s Tyranny will launch for PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo Store in early Q1, and can be preordered now.
