Survive in a Post-Apocalyptic World Navigate & explore the Black Ocean in Unlife

Indie Publisher and Solo Developer to Bring Dark Apocalyptic Adventure to Multiple Consoles in 2024

Gamers, get ready for an intense post-apocalyptic experience like no other! Ratalaika Games and Diedermor Studio are teaming up to release their highly anticipated game, Unlife. This thrilling 2D platformer is set to launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Microsoft Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on March 1st, 2024.

Unlife takes place in a world ravaged by nuclear war, where the only surviving remnants are the Black Ocean and its treacherous inhabitants. Players take on the role of a lone survivor, tasked with navigating through this dark and dangerous world. But Unlife is not just your typical platformer – it offers a unique and immersive gameplay experience.

At first glance, Unlife may seem like a simple platformer, where your goal is to overcome obstacles, gather weapons and supplies, and defeat monstrous creatures. However, there is much more to it than that. Players will have to navigate between platforms on a World War II submarine, as well as control a smaller submarine to explore the underwater world. With a variety of obstacles and challenges, players will have to use their skills and creativity to survive in this hostile environment.

What sets Unlife apart is its dynamic and engaging gameplay, featuring hand-drawn graphics that create a dark and mysterious atmosphere. Players will encounter a range of terrifying monsters, including spiders, mutants, a massive kraken, and a monstrous creature from the depths of the Black Sea. These monsters are not to be underestimated, as their attacks can significantly harm the character. However, players also have the chance to collect genetic material from the creatures they defeat, which can be used to create a cure for the parasite living inside the character.

Unlife offers a linear narrative, but with a twist. The game features two possible endings, depending on whether the player can cure their character of the parasite. This adds an extra layer of excitement and challenge to the game, making it a must-play for all fans of the post-apocalyptic genre.

In addition to its engaging gameplay, Unlife also boasts a themed dark soundtrack, designed to further immerse players in this desolate world. The game also offers a variety of gameplay elements, including running, dodging attacks, climbing ladders, scaling ledges, and swimming underwater. Players can also wield melee weapons for close combat and use firearms for long-range battles. With first aid kits to restore health and canned food to temporarily boost stamina, players must use all available resources to survive.

Diedermor Studio’s Dmitriy, who single-handedly created Unlife, expressed his excitement for gamers to experience his creation. “I love this game for its atmosphere, unique world, and setting. I managed to create a wonderful soundtrack that accentuates the character’s solitude in this dark adventure. I am proud to have successfully completed this challenging project, which is one of the most complex ones for me so far.”

Unlife promises to be a thrilling, action-packed adventure, with an apocalyptic twist. With its multiple platforms and two possible endings, this game is not to be missed. Get ready to dive into the dark and treacherous world of Unlife on March 1st, 2024.
