Explore a Post-flood World in Saltsea Chronicles, the New Game From Die Gute Fabrik, Available October 12

Die Gute Fabrik is excited to announce that their new story-driven adventure game, Saltsea Chronicles, will be available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 12. Creative Director Hannah Nicklin just released a brand new gameplay trailer showcasing the intricacies and intrigues of the post-flood world at the heart of Saltsea Chronicles.

Set in a flooded world rebuilding on pre-flood ruins, Saltsea Chronicles follows the misfit crew of Captain Maja as they heist their impounded ship and mount a rescue mission for their missing crew member. As players explore this captivating world, they will discover pathways through a variety of islands while uncovering secrets and resolving tensions within the crew.

With every playthrough, Saltsea Chronicles provides an engaging 10 hour adventure that lets players see a different approach each time. Players can revisit their journey through the archipelago with the game’s branching save system, discovering alternative island pathways and expedition character choices.

Adding to the complete Saltsea Chronicles experience, IGF-nominated sound artist and composer Eli Rainsberry has also released the Saltsea Chronicles Official Game Soundtrack. Drawing on traditional instruments and synthetic arrangements, the OST helps tell the story of a crew voyaging to find their missing captain. The soundtrack is available on Bandcamp, Spotify, and Apple Music October 12th, and fans can learn more about the score and even listen to a preview on the game’s website.

Passionate about creating a climate-friendly future, the team is also releasing a climate impact report commissioned with Dr Benjamin Abraham, sustainability researcher and consultant of AfterClimate. This is thought to be the first of its kind for an indie game production.

In Saltsea Chronicles, players get to experience a beautiful post-flood world, build relationships with intriguing characters, and uncover a deep conspiracy. With fast navigation, Spoils card game, and an immersive original score, gamers of all ages will be captivated by this adventure game, coming to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 12.
