Game scheduled for an early 2024 release on the Nintendo Switch
Melbourne’s Lucky Last Studios will be giving gamers a rare taste of their soon-to-be-released premium platformer, Skate Bums, at PAX Aus 2023 this year, ahead of its planned launch for console and PC in early 2024.
This action-packed skateboarding title features a unique illustrative art-style which draws heavily from 90s skate culture – taking players on a thrilling journey as the unlikely female protagonist, Lux.
Throughout 22 levels, two locations, and two intense boss battles, Skate Bums’ mix of precise platforming and arcade-style gaming lets players explore intricate, multi-layered environments while undertaking unique and difficult challenges to show off their style and pull off huge combos – all while punishing obstacles lie in wait.
Players will take on the infamous Skate Bums – an over-the-top, eccentric collection of characters each with their own signature levels – as they work to reclaim the city of Beluga. With their coin, they will be able to unlock gear from Licky’s shop or complete special tasks.
Skate Bums offers a chance for players to dive into an age of thrilling thrills, fun, freedom, style and individuality as they explore the city and transform each level into their own personal playground.
