Make Way for Friends, Trading, and Gifting in Pokémon GO!

Pokemon Go has announced that players will finally be able to trade and gift Pokemon with their friends! Trainers, Pokémon Go and Niantic is excited to share brand-new ways to interact with your friends in Pokémon GO! The Friends feature will start rolling out to Trainers later this week, allowing you to connect with your real-life friends and keep track of their adventures in Pokémon GO. You’ll be able to send them items, earn bonuses—and even trade Pokémon! In order to add a friend in Pokémon GO, you must first ask them to share their Trainer Code with you. To invite a Trainer to become your friend, simply enter their Trainer Code and then send them a request. If they accept, you’ll become friends, and you’ll see them in your Friends List. New Pokémon Experiences Announced for Nintendo Switch

Last night, Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, GAME FREAK and Niantic announced several fun new Pokémon experiences coming to the Nintendo Switch system in 2018, including one that is available right now! Alolan Forms of Pokémon Originally Discovered in the Kanto Region Are Coming to Pokémon GO!

The official Pokémon GO website has released information concerning the arrival of Alolan forms to Pokémon GO. Originally introduced in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, Alolan forms take on the same names as the Pokémon that they are modelled after, but they have unique quirks to differentiate them from the Kanto forms. For example, while Vulpix is usually a Fire-type Pokémon, in Alola, Vulpix is an Ice-type. Aside from the announcement, no future announcements have been made, so it is not known how they will be added into the game. Here is the official announcement: Sunny days are ahead!
