Nintendo Switch owners will be able to pre-order the internationally celebrated strategy board game, CATAN – Console Edition, on the platform from today. The weeklong pre-order also comes with a 10% discount.

Pre-orders of the Super Deluxe version of the incredibly popular board game have opened, meaning Switch-owning Catanians can enjoy 10% off their purchase!

Developed by Dovetail Games and Nomad Games, CATAN – Console Edition brings the popular board game to life with characters farming and mining resources, sheep roaming the hexes, ships occupying harbours and Settlements and Cities appearing as players build and trade with one another. Victory Points can be earned through building the ‘Longest Road’, the ‘Largest Army’ or with the strategic use of Development Cards.

What’s more, the Super Deluxe version of CATAN – Console Edition includes The Helpers: the first official expansion to the game. The Helpers add an additional layer of strategy and fun with their unique and specialised skills and give players a better chance of developing their communities into thriving cities.

Additionally, Catanians can also use the Card Companion on smartphones, to ensure everyone can gather around one TV without seeing each other’s resources. The game is also Cross-play compatible, meaning Nintendo Switch players can enjoy CATAN – Console Edition together with players on other consoles. Alternatively, players can also challenge various AI characters based on CATAN lore.

CATAN – Console Edition will be available from the 9th of November for download on all current and last-gen consoles. The Standard edition will cost £16.99/$19.99/€19.99; the Deluxe edition is £19.99/$24.99/€24.99; and the Super Deluxe edition is £24.99/$29.99/€29.99.
