2018 Pokémon World Championships Streaming Schedule

Tune In to Twitch to Watch the Very Best! Competitive Pokémon play takes the global stage for the 2018 Pokémon World Championships, beginning Friday, August 24. The Pokémon Company International will broadcast four streams live on Twitch, including a main stage stream that will rotate gameplay content and show all the finals matches. The live stream from Nashville, Tennessee, will feature interesting matches all three days of the competition and include live expert commentary. The 2018 Pokémon World Championships is an international event where the world’s most elite Pokémon video game and Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) players from more than 35 countries will compete for the coveted title of Pokémon World Champion and more than $500,000 in scholarships and prizes. Nintendo finished the first day of the E3 video game trade show in Los Angeles with two competitive champions and a host of bonus announcements that built on today’s Nintendo Direct: E3 2018 video presentation. Nintendo crowned ZeRo of Chile the champion of the Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2018 tournament. A longtime player of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, ZeRo defeated seven other top-ranked Super Smash Bros. players from around the world to successfully defend his title from Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Invitational in 2014. ZeRo emerged as the top player of the new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate game for the Nintendo Switch system. In the final match, ZeRo used Mario to defeat runner-up MkLeo of Mexico, who played as Sonic. In both head-to-head and two-on-two matches, the tournament showcased new fighters like Ridley from the Metroid series and returning favorites from past games in the franchise. Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2018 Tournament Who will emerge victorious when eight talented players from around the world compete in the Super Smash Bros. game for the Nintendo Switch system? The world will find out during the Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2018 tournament taking place the same week as the E3 2018 trade show in Los Angeles. In a recently released video, shown above, Nintendo revealed a global list of invited players that will compete to see who will reign supreme in the upcoming livestreamed event.
