FINAL FANTASY PIXEL REMASTER SERIES CELEBRATES TWO MILLION SHIPMENTS AND DIGITAL SALES WORLDWIDE
Square Enix is celebrating a major milestone today as the six titles of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series have surpassed two million units shipped and downloaded worldwide since their release. The series, which includes the iconic games Final Fantasy I through Final Fantasy VI, was released in 2021 and 2022 on Steam, iOS and Android devices before being made available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch this year. The series features quality-of-life upgrades while staying faithful to the retro design of the classic masterpieces. Nintendo Switch is the Best-Selling Video Game Console in November With More Than 1 Million Units Sold
Nintendo Switch Has Been the Top-Selling Console in the U.S. for 35 Out of 36 Consecutive Months According to the NPD Group, which tracks video game sales in the U.S., the combined sales of Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite and Nintendo Switch – OLED Model systems hit 1.13 million in the month of November, powering up Nintendo Switch as the best-selling video game console of that month. Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite Sold a Combined 735,926 Units in the U.S. With growth of 136% when compared to the same month in 2019, the Nintendo Switch family of systems saw its strongest October sales yet, with more than 735,000 units sold between Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite in the U.S. According to numbers provided by NPD Group, the October 2020 sales of Nintendo Switch are the second-highest October sales of any video game console in history, only outdone by the 807,000 units sold of the Wii system in October 2008. Lots of deals characterized the EU eShop the past few weeks and that was well reflected in the current charts for the Month of December 2018. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate took the monthly chart by storm, debuting right at the top… However, several titles featuring in the Top 10 had some unexpected appearances including Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, returning at 2nd thanks to great discounts during the Holidays. Nintendo of America recently published a list of the “best-selling games on the Nintendo Switch system released in 2018” as they say, while detailing it’s based on the top downloads on Nintendo eShop and Nintendo.com of “full titles released in 2018”. So, let’s take a look at the yearly ranking for the Americas! The chart is based on the amount of downloads each title generated with no distinction between paid items and free-to-play titles, as Fortnite shows up at the top, followed by the surprising Fallout Shelter at 2nd and Paladins at 3rd.
