Pokémon World and North American 2019 Tournament Locations & Dates Announced
2019 POKÉMON NORTH AMERICA INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS AND 2019 POKÉMON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS DATES AND LOCATIONS ANNOUNCED The Greater Columbus Convention Center will host the North America International Championships in June. Open to players worldwide with no residency restrictions, this tournament provides Pokémon TCG and video game competitors with a final opportunity to score valuable Championship Points in order to secure an invitation to the 2019 World Championships. In August, the top Pokémon TCG and video game players will meet and compete at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, for the Pokémon World Championships. Today The Pokémon Company International revealed three new cards for the Pokémon Trading Card (TCG) game featuring Mr. Mime, JigglyPuff and Psyduck, as seen in the upcoming live-action movie, “POKÉMON Detective Pikachu.” These Pokémon were some of the breakout stars from the highly-viewed first trailer for the movie. Like the Detective Pikachu, Charizard and Greninja TCG cards previously announced, the newly revealed cards depict the Pokémon in their CGI movie likenesses and will be available at selected retailers across Europe from 29thMarch.

First, a new line of figures called “A Day with Pikachu” by Funko will be released exclusively at the official Pokemon Center website. The first figure, “One Lucky Day”, launches on February 13, 2019. 12 figures in all are planned to release into 2020: Celebrate a Year of Pikachu with Funko Pokémon Center and Funko team up to bring fans 12 new figures in the A Day with Pikachu collection.
