Pokémon UNITE Now Available on Nintendo Switch

Pokémon’s first strategic team battle game, Pokémon UNITE, is now available to download exclusively on Nintendo Switch systems[1]. To commemorate the release of the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon UNITE, Trainers can watch an all-new global launch trailer below or on the official Pokémon UNITE YouTube channel. In Pokémon UNITE, players face off against each other in 5-on-5 team battles. During these battles, players will cooperate with teammates to defeat wild Pokémon and level up to evolve their own Pokémon. They will need to defeat their opponents’ Pokémon while trying to earn more points than the opposing team within the allotted time. Timed with Pokémon UNITE’s release on Nintendo Switch, players will be able to enjoy the game’s first season, “Welcome to Aeos Island!” The season battle pass will feature many rewards, ranging from in-game currency to Holowear. Pokémon UNITE comes to Nintendo Switch on July 21!

Today, the Pokémon Company International and TiMi Studio Group announced that Pokémon UNITE will release this month on July 21, 2021, for Nintendo Switch systems. To celebrate launch, players who log in to the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon UNITE by August 31, 2021, will receive a Unite license for Zeraora,1 which will allow Trainers to use the Pokémon in battle. Zeraora can close the distance between itself and its opponents in the blink of an eye, just like lightning, and deal massive amounts of damage all at once. Its Unite Move, Plasma Gale, sends out a powerful electric blast that creates a zone of plasma around the area where the blast hits. Pokémon UNITE is the first Pokémon strategic team battle game. NEW INFORMATION REVEALED FOR Pokémon UNITE

The Pokémon Company International and TiMi Studio Group announced today that Pokémon’s first strategic team battle game, Pokémon UNITE, will release[1] in July 2021 on Nintendo Switch systems and in September 2021 on mobile devices. Pokémon UNITE will be free-to-start, with optional in-game purchases available. An all-new trailer has also been revealed, showing the game’s opening cinematic along with new gameplay footage. Cross-platform play between Nintendo Switch and mobile devices is planned, which will allow players on both platforms to battle together. Today, during a Pokémon Presents video presentation, Tsunekazu Ishihara—president and CEO of The Pokémon Company—announced Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, Pokémon Shining Pearl, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus—new video games coming to the blockbuster series that spans 25 years. Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl will launch in late 2021, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus will launch in early 2022. All three games will be available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch™ system.
