Nintendo Switch is the Best-Selling Video Game Console in November With More Than 1 Million Units Sold

Nintendo Switch Has Been the Top-Selling Console in the U.S. for 35 Out of 36 Consecutive Months According to the NPD Group, which tracks video game sales in the U.S., the combined sales of Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite and Nintendo Switch – OLED Model systems hit 1.13 million in the month of November, powering up Nintendo Switch as the best-selling video game console of that month. For the important holiday-shopping week of Thanksgiving, which includes Black Friday, Nintendo Switch was also the top-selling video game console, with nearly 550,000 systems sold. Lots of deals characterized the EU eShop the past few weeks and that was well reflected in the current charts for the Month of December 2018. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate took the monthly chart by storm, debuting right at the top… However, several titles featuring in the Top 10 had some unexpected appearances including Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, returning at 2nd thanks to great discounts during the Holidays. Nintendo of America recently published a list of the “best-selling games on the Nintendo Switch system released in 2018” as they say, while detailing it’s based on the top downloads on Nintendo eShop and Nintendo.com of “full titles released in 2018”. So, let’s take a look at the yearly ranking for the Americas! The chart is based on the amount of downloads each title generated with no distinction between paid items and free-to-play titles, as Fortnite shows up at the top, followed by the surprising Fallout Shelter at 2nd and Paladins at 3rd.
