Nintendo Reveals Software and Hardware Sales Data for Q1 2018

Nintendo has announced its financial results for the first quarter of the current fiscal year, which covers the period from April through  June 2018. In the report, the company has given sales-to-date figures for its current hardware, as well as data specific to the quarter. Hardware Switch hardware sales hit 1.88 million units for this quarter (That’s a small  4.4% drop on a year-to-year basis), while Switch software hit 17.96 million units (a BIG 120.8% increase from last year). The 3DS has now reached 72.89 million consoles sold, with a humongous 367.84 million games sold to date. 3DS sold 0.36 million units this quarter (61.9% down on last year), while 2.95 million software units were sold (49.6% lower).
