Coming Next Week – Learn Japanese Through Puzzles in Kana Quest

Whitethorn Games and Not Dead Design are proud to announce the upcoming release of Kana Quest, a kawaii Kana match ‘em up game for Nintendo Switch. The game will be released on March 30th in North America, Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and South Korea.

Kana Quest offers a unique twist on the educational game genre, teaching players to read Japanese through engaging tile-swapping puzzles. Players must rearrange a grid of Kana in order to match tiles with shared sounds. The game also features an adorable pixel-art retro-arcade aesthetic, over 300 hand-crafted puzzles across 13 worlds, and the ability to swap between Hiragana and Katakana at any time.

Kana Quest was designed for anyone to enjoy, no matter their level of Japanese. With no pop quizzes, players can learn in an interactive and engaging way.

Chronicles of 2 Heroes’ new trailer confirms its release date on all platforms

Infinity Experience’s retro platformer will launch on PC and consoles on May 19

Video game fans and retro enthusiasts alike will be excited to hear that Chronicles of 2 Heroes is set to arrive on PC (Steam), Xbox, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch on May 26, 2023. After being funded on Kickstarter, the game has been developed by Infinity Experience and published by Catness Games.

The game features intense action, precise platforming and exquisite pixel art, as well as a unique mechanic that allows players to switch between the two protagonists, Kensei and Ayame. Kensei is a samurai unable to jump but lethal in close combat, while Ayame is agile but fragile. Chronicles of 2 Heroes players can unlock more than 20 skills between the two characters as they travel through feudal Japan to recover the three sacred treasures, Amaterasu’s source of power. Along the way, they will encounter enemies inspired by Japanese mythology.

The full version of Chronicles of 2 Heroes can be purchased for 19,99 euros and a free demo is available on Steam. Players can look forward to experiencing the intense retro platformer when it releases on May 26.
