Megaman Fans get a NEW Mega Collection

The legacy continues, as Capcom today announced Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, a collection of the iconic Blue Bomber’s four most recent classic side-scrolling adventures, complete with several all-new features. A follow up to Mega Man Legacy Collection, which contained the series’ original 8-bit titles, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 spans the evolution and retro revolution of the series.

This collection will be available at retail for PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One across North America, and digitally across North America and Europe for PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PC starting August 8, 2017.

A compilation of four timeless adventures in one package, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 features the most recent entries in the classic side-scrolling series.

The collection also includes a Museum jam-packed with history and production art, challenge remix stages for long-time fans, and first-timer friendly options like added armor and checkpoint saves for easy reload. Journey through the later entries in the series with these four titles:

Mega Man 7 introduced mysterious rival Bass and his companion Treble

Mega Man 8 featured the series’ first impressively animated and fully voiced cutscenes

Mega Man 9 marked the series’ return to its roots with 8-bit visuals, music, and gameplay

Mega Man 10 retained these features and included three playable character options.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 joins Capcom’s lineup of playable games and activities for the 2017 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles next week, June 13-15. Capcom’s E3 2017 booth will also feature the first public appearance of the highly anticipated MARVEL VS. CAPCOM: INFINITE in addition to demos of the currently available Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers and the latest content in Street Fighter V. Attendees of E3 2017 are invited to stop by the Capcom booth for an infinitely amazing experience with playable games, supplemental attractions including a Street Fighter 30^th anniversary celebration display, tournament stage and more. Mega Man Legacy Collection is a celebration of the 8-bit history of Capcom’s iconic Blue Bomber.

Mega Man Legacy Collection will be available digitally across North America and Europe starting August 25, 2015 for $14.99 / €14.99 / £11.99 on PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One and Windows PC, and early 2016 on the Nintendo 3DS™ hand-held system.

Physical editions of the game will also be available early 2016 in North America for $29.99 on PlayStation®4, Xbox One and Nintendo 3DS. More details regarding the Nintendo 3DS digital release and the physical editions will be confirmed at a later date.

This collection celebrates a piece of video game history by not only featuring the series’ origins with all six of the 8-bit classics, it also collects hundreds of high-resolution scans of vintage concept sketches, production art, unused Robot Master designs, a database of enemy information, a robust Challenge Mode full of remixed gameplay sections, plus a music player with all the games’ soundtracks—more than 100 songs!

Challenge Mode remixes gameplay segments from all six games, with plenty of scaling difficulty objectives for experienced players to conquer yet serves as a good starting point for new players, too. All six of the classic games will retain their retro 8-bit style with a newly added HD finish, giving all of the original sprites the crispest look fans have ever seen.

For players looking for a dose of adventure, the Disney Magical World game features many exciting quests and unique collectibles. By collecting and using magic wands with different skill sets, players can battle through ghost-filled forests and dungeons. Several aspects of the game leverage the unique features of the Nintendo 3DS system. By scanning Disney Magical World-specific AR Cards – which will be distributed online, in stores and at special events – with the Nintendo 3DS camera, players can unlock new clothes, accessories and furniture items.

Players can connect locally or through StreetPass to interact with other players and scope out their customized avatars, towns and cafés. E3 2013 Preview: The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is a game to look forward to

When it comes to a classic The Legend of Zelda game, I must say that Link of the Past is the one that stands out the most. Over a decade following its release, Nintendo finally decided to give the game a true sequel on the Nintendo 3DS and carry the name: A Link Between Worlds. At first glance, the game will give some nostalgic moments to a lot of Zelda fans who have played the game. Playing through it gives a lot of good memories back when it was out and I’m sure with the game coming out this year, it’s the game everyone will be looking forward to get.

Visually, A Link Between Worlds has the same playing style as the original. The camera angle is somewhat on the birds eye view where we see Link’s head and a portion of his body. The build that I got to play was divided into two sections; one is where I got to play in the field and the other in dungeons.

The way the game is laid out this time in the sequel is almost the same as the original. You see the grasses that you can cut, and those who have played the original before will see somewhat of a familiar area in the game that I’m sure fans have explored in the original. The green slime blobs that we used to fight will make a return, especially those knights with a shield that stops your way. The area that I got to play is a small one, but it sure is enough to give me the original feeling when I played the original over a decade ago. Was it a good thing? Definitely as it really feels a true sequel that Zelda fans have been waiting for.

As for the dungeons, the puzzles and the traps will show some sort of similarities to the original too. The challenge is still there and getting around with it will take some time to get used to. Expect to pull pots to go from one way or another. Sometimes, you will dodge stuff to get out from the game. Combat wise, it’s more of a hack and slash thing, but one improvement they implemented in the sequel is the ability to use three weapons at a time. Unlike in the original, you have to press stuff to switch from the bow to the sword and three weapons will be placed in the Y, X, and B button. The weapons that I got to use was a Master Sword, a Bow, and a hammer when it pounds enemies, they get stunned in an instant.

Remember the time when if you hold the sword button long enough, Link will do a 360 degree slash? Unfortunately it was not in the game at all. However, with Link using the Master Sword, he is now able to do a sonic wave attack to enemies within a distance, which is helpful against enemies that are hard to get close to.

Overall, the experience with The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is a fantastic experience. It’s really something to look forward to this year, especially the fans who have played the original.

New Nintendo TVii Application to Change the Way Viewers Experience TV and Video Content Using Wii U GamePad Controller

REDMOND, Wash., Sept. 13, 2012 – Nintendo today revealed full details about how the new Wii U™ home console and its groundbreaking touch-screen Wii U GamePad controller can revolutionize not only video game play but also the way people find and watch TV and video content. The new HD system will offer entirely new ways for consumers to play games and enjoy their favorite programming when it launches in the Americas on Nov. 18. During the launch window, more than 50 games will be available for Wii U, which will be offered in two different colors and configurations. The Basic Set will be offered in white at a suggested retail price of $299.99, while the Deluxe Set, which includes higher storage capacity, additional accessories and the new Nintendo Land™ video game, will be offered in black at a suggested retail price of $349.99.

At a special Wii U preview event in New York, Nintendo also unveiled Nintendo TVii, an application that will let Wii U owners in the United States and Canada find, watch and engage with their favorite video entertainment in fun new ways. Using the GamePad controller, Nintendo TVii lets viewers seamlessly explore available video content from a variety of sources – including live TV, their TiVo DVR and video-on-demand services such as Netflix – all in one easy-to-use interface.

Additionally, Nintendo shared new information about dozens of games on the way for Wii U, including Nintendo Land, New Super Mario Bros.™ U, LEGO® City: Undercover, BAYONETTA 2, The Wonderful 101™, Capcom's Monster Hunter™ 3 Ultimate and Activision's Call of Duty®: Black Ops II. New Super Mario Bros. U offers unprecedented ways for friends and families to play together and explore Mario's world using the GamePad. Nintendo Land, which will be available as a standalone game or included with the Wii U Deluxe Set, is a virtual theme park featuring a lineup of 12 playable attractions based on Nintendo's greatest game worlds, including The Legend of Zelda™, Metroid™, Mario™, Animal Crossing™ and Donkey Kong™. As an added bonus for consumers, a Chase McCain LEGO minifigure will come as a special pre-order bonus for those who pre-order a copy of LEGO City: Undercover at participating retailers while supplies last. The Wii U Basic Set includes a white Wii U console with 8 GB of internal storage, one white GamePad controller, AC adapters for both the console and controller, a sensor bar and an HDMI® cable. In the Wii U Deluxe Set, components are black. This bundle includes all elements from the Basic Set, as well as the Nintendo Land game, increased console storage capacity of 32 GB, a console stand, GamePad charging cradle and a stand that allows users to place the GamePad vertically on a table. Consumers who purchase the Deluxe Set also will be enrolled in the Deluxe Digital Promotion, which lets Wii U owners receive points for each digital download and redeem those points for future downloadable content from the Nintendo eShop. The promotion is currently planned through 2014.

Both configurations offer a wealth of one-of-a-kind entertainment experiences, including an online gaming community called Miiverse™ and the new Nintendo TVii application. Using the touch screen on the GamePad controller, Nintendo TVii users will be able to browse programming from sources they subscribe to, including cable and satellite channels, Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video, YouTube and even their recorded TiVo shows – all from a single starting point.
