Indie developer WildArts and publisher Dear Villagers have released a demo for their upcoming RPG adventure game, Born of Bread. Developed for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation, and Xbox Series, the game can be found on the eShop and Steam starting now.
In Born of Bread, players take control of Loaf, a flour golem who possesses a never-ending childlike wonder. After being swept into a drama thousands of years in the making, players must use an extensive combat tutorial, an introduction to the skill tree, and their collective wit to overcome looming threats that loom over the mystical land.
Throughout the course of the game, players will explore a wonderful world ripe with enigmas. These range from the mysterious ruins of the Forest of Roots to the snow-plastered landscapes of Frosty Flats. From side missions in a variety of areas to the colorful “Battle Broadcast” system that grants bonuses during combat encounters, the game offers countless surprises.
The whimsical journey of Born of Bread is further supplemented by its bright 2.5D graphics, engaging tun-based /real-time hybrid battles, and endearing characters. With these ingredients, the developers have constructed a retro roleplaying experience that, while perfect for children, adults will also enjoy.
Following the demo, the full release of Born of Bread launches December 5th for PC, PlayStation, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch.
