Worldless Coming On November 21st

Spanish-developed action adventure Worldless blends turn-based action combat,  metroidvania platforming and RPG-style upgrades

Thunderful and Barcelona-based developer Noname Studios today announced their collaboration on the stylized 2D adventure platformer, Worldless, releasing November 21st on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch. Worldless combines turn-based action combat and metroidvania-style platforming, giving players the chance to dive into an intricate world of secrets.

Noname Studios was founded in Barcelona by Business and Production Director David Sanchez, Creative and Animation Director Joel Roset, and Technical Director Carlos Moreno. The studio’s remote setup and diverse team are aiming to prove that remote, well structured teams can build amazing experiences.

“We were impressed by their vision and the abstract beauty of Worldless – it’s the embodiment of the kind of games they want to create and we’re delighted to be working with them to bring their artistic vision to the world,” said Coatsink COO Eddie Beardsmore.

In Worldless, players will be able to explore intricate areas filled with secrets. Worldless combines turn-based elements, requiring strategy and timing-based elements for success in battling enemies, with a skill tree giving players strategic options and new pathways to explore. Atmosphere and music meet fluid action as players explore the game’s world and upgrade their character.

“Seeing the response to Worldless from showcases like Microsoft’s ID@Xbox event in July to events like Gamescom has been fantastic,” said developer David Sanchez. “We’re excited to finally bring the game to PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Switch on November 21st.”

Noname Studios was founded by Business and Production Director David Sanchez, Creative and Animation Director Joel Roset, and Technical Director Carlos Moreno from Barcelona. The studio is focused on creating visually impactful titles with a twist on classical game mechanics. The studio is 100% remote, composed of seven people, set to create a culturally and gender diverse studio.

“When we met Noname Studio, we discovered a team with a passion for creating games with an artistic flair,” said Coatsink COO, Eddie Beardsmore. “We were impressed by their vision and the abstract beauty of Worldless – it’s the embodiment of the kind of games they want to create and we’re delighted to be working with them to bring their artistic vision to the world.”

Worldless will release on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Switch on November 21st, giving players everywhere the chance to experience the unique and immersive world crafted by Noname Studios.
