Aruma Studios Reveals its Second Point-and-Click Adventure Shadows of the Afterland

Aruma Studios, an independent game developer based in Madrid, is pleased to announce its latest project, Shadows of the Afterland. This supernatural comedy adventure is set to release in 2024 on PC (Windows, Linux, Mac) and Nintendo Switch.

Developed and published by Aruma Studios, Shadows of the Afterland is about identity, courage and destiny. The storyline revolves around a soul who arrives in the realm of the living with memories of a heroine, Carolina, who has not been born yet.

Players must use their intelligence to solve clever and logically sound puzzles as they switch between worlds and take possession of the living. They’ll eventually confront the sinister forces that haunt the world of the living and find out if they are merely a pawn of fate or if they can change their own future.

The game’s creators, Silvia Izquierdo and Rubén López, have worked hard to produce a hauntingly beautiful world with detailed pixel art. A soundtrack of stirring music has also been crafted to send shivers down players’ spines.

Aruma Studios is a small independent video game developer located in Madrid, founded by Silvia Izquierdo and Rubén López. Intruder in Antiquonia is their first full-length adventure game, renowned for its classic point-and-click gameplay. Their second game, Shadows of the Afterland, looks set to repeat this success.
