Akaoni Studio announces its new 2D adventure Enraged Red Ogre

Akaoni Studio is thrilled to bring their unique vision of a red ogre’s adventure to Nintendo Switch in 2021: Enraged Red Ogre! Get yourself ready to travel the Yokai Land with Akaoni and Blu, blasting through hordes of enemies and discover the mysteries that this world has in store.

Set to launch early fall of 2023, Enraged Red Ogre lets players take the role of the short-tempered Akaoni on a dangerous journey to protect a small human village that has been overrun by the yokai.

Players will take on the role of Akaoni, a short-tempered red ogre, as they delve into the Yokai Land and take on hordes of enemies. In Enraged Red Ogre, Akaoni will have to use his agility and trusty kanabo to bash his way through enemies and as he progresses, Akaoni will join forces with Blu, a small onibi and use their elemental powers to their advantage.

Enraged Red Ogre brings a wide variety of levels to explore in a non-linear journey across 9 different zones, with combochallenges, upgrades, and secret treasures scattered throughout the journey.

Along the way, players will explore pixel-art style inspired by old Japanese eras, and be able to experience friendly yokai, some based on Japanese folklore, as Akaoni embarks on his quest to find his lost friend Aooni.

Enraged Red Ogre is set to launch early fall 2023 on Nintendo Switch and has received the ESRB rating Everyone 10+ and the PEGI rating 3.
