Learn the tools of the trade in whimsical narrative deduction game Lil’ Guardsman

Independent game studio Hilltop Studios and Versus Evil have revealed a sneak peek at the upcoming narrative-driven deduction adventure game Lil’ Guardsman. Players will take on the role of a young girl covering for her dad, the head castle guardsman, as they interrogate a variety of characters and uncover their true intentions.

The game, set in a high-fantasy world, will be available later this year on PC, Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox Series consoles.

Lil’ Guardsman players will have to make use of a variety of tools, such as the cypher-cracking Decoder Ring, the Truth Spray, or the all-seeing X-RAY machine, in order to gain entry to the city walls. As Lil interrogates the visitors, she must make tough decisions and uncover mass conspiracies while protecting her castle and family from devious interlopers.

The developers have promised a comedic sensibility reminiscent of classic Lucasarts adventure classics, such as Monkey Island.

With the launch date still to be announced, Hilltop Studios and Versus Evil have revealed a sneak peek of the Lil’ Guardsman game to whet gamers’ appetites.
