Today, PQube is excited to announce the release of the unique visual novel ghostpia season one on Nintendo Switch.
Players can immerse themselves in a 100% narrative journey, with no branching routes or events, as they follow Sayoko, a forgetful ghost struggling to recall her past and her purpose. With a unique art style, the ability to rewind like a VCR, and a linear story, ‘ghostpia season one’ is full of the mysteries in Sayoko’s forgotten memories, and how the ghost town she lives in came to be.
Players are invited to experience Sayoko’s bizarre memories as they investigate a mysterious girl, rescue a new ghost, find a job, expose and fight a local drug lord, and create a robot. The game features a delicately illustrated art style reminiscent of a children’s book with glitch and noise effects, as well as a playful atmospheric soundtrack and sound effects.
