Today, publisher Rogue Games announced the upcoming release of Homebody, a survival horror puzzle game developed by YouTube sensation GameGrumps. Players will be able to explore the game’s eerie, yet nostalgic atmosphere on PC, Xbox One and Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on June 1.
In Homebody, players take on the role of Emily, a college student who has gathered with her friends for a weekend getaway to view the Perseid meteor showers. However, their fun weekend takes a dark turn when a mysterious killer arrives, picking off the friends one by one.
Players must help Emily survive by solving puzzles and exploring the house, while trying to remain as undetected as possible from the killer’s responsive AI.
The game features a nostalgic art style reminiscent of classic 80s slasher films, and a deep, strange, and emotional story driven by choice-driven dialogue. Players must use an in-game journal to track clues and puzzle solutions, piecing together the mysterious events.
Homebody arrives on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on June 1.
