Today, independent game developer NGDEV announced that their classic Danmaku/Bullethell SHMUP/2D shooting game Gunvein will be available to download on the Nintendo Switch eShop on May 11th.
Gunvein is a fast-paced, aggression-based shoot em up game where players must use lock on lasers, charged weapons, bombs and hypers to overwhelm the enemies before they overwhelm them. The game features two different modes and three main characters each with their own unique playstyle.
Players can choose Standard/Console Mode which provides a satisfying level of challenge for those who don’t seek out 1 credit clears or high scores. There is also Arcade Mode which tests players’ reflexes and decision making in procedurally generated versions of the game’s five stages.
In addition, players can compete against one another globally on the game’s online leaderboards and can also take advantage of the game’s convenient practice tools.
The Gunvein game is sure to be a hit when it is released on the Nintendo Switch eShop on May 11th.
