Overloop

Release date confirmed for Overloop, the puzzle-platformer armed with a clone-gun and dubious ethics

Condemn countless versions of yourself to death on PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox later this month.

Charge Games’ popular puzzle-platformer, Overloop, is set to arrive on consoles later this month. The game, which has received a ‘Very Positive’ rating on Steam, will launch on March 24th on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, priced at $14.99. For a limited time, players can take advantage of a 20% launch discount.

Overloop is set in a dystopian future where cloning technology has been exploited for profit and caused chaos. As the inventor of the Quantum Matter Replication Device (QMRD), the player must use their cloning gun to solve puzzles, overcome obstacles, and sacrifice clones of themselves to save humanity.

The game, developed by George Kobyakov and Charles Bardin, offers players the ability to create up to four clones of themselves at once and use them to solve puzzles. However, the clones are not invincible and will suffer hilariously gruesome deaths along the way, with players having to consider the morality of human cloning as they navigate through the game.

Overloop‘s soundtrack, composed by Charles Bardin, is also available for purchase on Bandcamp.

The game’s unique blend of humor, puzzle-solving, and dystopian world-building has garnered praise from gamers and critics alike. Overloop promises to offer a light-hearted adventure in a dark future when it launches on consoles this month.
