Monster horror fighting game Omen of Sorrow gets official release date for new platforms

Today, eastasiasoft announced that their horror-themed fighting game, Omen of Sorrow, will be released for Nintendo Switch, PS5 and Steam on March 23rd, 2023. Xbox versions will also receive a free update with added story mode content and cross-platform online play at the same time.

Omen of Sorrow is a traditional 4-button fighting game that brings monsters from classic horror and literature together in a 2.5D cinematic style. It is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and features a roster of characters inspired by Frankenstein’s monster, Egyptian high priest Imhotep, and the fan-favorite bloody countess Erzsébet, who has been added to the main roster alongside a massive blood dragon at her command.

The revised story mode and the addition of cross-platform online play between Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox and PC platforms will be made available to Xbox users via a free update.

Digital pricing for Omen of Sorrow is set at US$19.99/€19.99, with an additional 15% launch discount available for a limited time. Physical editions for Nintendo Switch and PS5 will also be available from online retail partner Playasia in late March to coincide with the digital release.

Omen of Sorrow is developed by independent Chilean studio AOne Games in close partnership with eastasiasoft. For more information about the game, please visit their official website.
