Paint the Town Red Unleashed Voxel Violence on Nintendo Switch, Next-Gen Systems, and PC

First-Person Brawler Paint the Town Red Graduates From Early Access After Six Years, Hundreds of Thousands of Fighters

Paint the Town Red, the first-person brawler with sandbox combat levels and a massive roguelike mode from South East Games, wreaks havoc on Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, in addition to the long-awaited debut of version 1.0 on Steam for Windows PC, Mac, and Linux, after a bombastic Early Access stint where more than 400,000 fighters brought the pain.

Smash foes in lightning-quick, gore-filled first-person melee action where anything and everything is a weapon. Engage in simple bare-knuckle brawling with fists or club opponents upside the head with improvised implements like pool cues, beer bottles, or a giant ham leg. Deal even more damage with more conventional weapons like blades and guns, or magical abilities like bolts of holy energy and arcane fire spells.

Beneath, the roguelike RPG experience introduced midway through Early Access, features character classes like the Warlock, who wields fiery sorcery to make the undead extra-dead, and the Brawler, a powerhouse capable of going berserk and turning their skin to stone. Foray into the underground ruins and caverns full of undead hordes and other monstrous entities commanded by the four Elder Gods, finding new things with each run.

Enjoy neverending chaos in Scenarios, themed sandbox arenas including a rowdy Biker Bar and dangerous Pirate’s Cove, where no enemy can be left standing. If it’s glory aspiring combatants seek, Arena mode features endless brawls and challenges involving the game’s huge variety of enemies and weapons. Extensive customization allows for zero gravity brawling, enhancing fists with a shocking touch, an authorized SUPERHOT modifier, and more.

Go even further with the customization craze on PC as a built-in level editor and full Steam Workshop support makes the sky the limit. Texture packs, music packs, and custom levels make up just some of the more than 9,000 items to tinker with. Additionally, PC players are privy to an exclusive online co-op mode, letting up to four fightin’ friends get up to some good ol’ fashioned fist-fights in Scenarios or team up and face the horrors of Beneath together.

“It’s felt like a lifetime since we first uploaded the game jam version of Paint the Town Red, and here we are with something that grew into a massive experience,” said Matthew Carr, South East Games, co-founder. “From the fun and challenge of the Scenarios to the terror awaiting them in Beneath, we’re proud to have delivered on the enormous game we set out to create for our PC players and to now welcome a new legion of brawlers with our console release.”

Paint the Town Red is available now on Steam for Windows PC, Mac, and Linux, as well as PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch for $19.99.

Paint the Town Red supports English audio and interface, with interface support for French, Italian, German, Spanish, Arabic, Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Greek, Hungarian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazil), Romanian, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Swedish, Thai, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, and Ukrainian.
